Dr Errol Hassan has over 40 years of experience in applied plant protection. He has completed a large number of research projects in applied entomology in countries as varied as Germany, Papua New Guinea, Turkey, the Maldvies, Indonesia and Australia. Dr Hassan is currently undertaking extensive laboratory and field research into a product to be developed as a fertilizer/insecticide against turf insect pests. His key areas of experience and expertise lie within Integrated Pest Management, the development of botanical pesticides, biological control and economic entomology. He has recently spent six months at the University of British Columbia, Canada, undertaking further research in botanical insecticides. He has published over 30 scientific papers in reputable international journals and has presented many scientific papers at conferences, including more than four conferences related specifically to plant extracts. He has also supervised postgraduate students in the field of botanical insecticides..
