ABOUT MARY O'TOOLE:
Mary O’Toole has over 25 years of experience in the field of regulatory and environmental strategy development as they relate to the electric utility industry.  Mary is President of KO Solution LLC and is presently engaged in assisting clients in development of regulatory strategies and growing her utility practice in the Midwest.
Previously, Mary was employed at Exelon/ ComEd and Mary directed Environmental Strategy for Commonwealth Edison Company (ComEd).  In this capacity, Mary developed and implemented sustainable environmental strategies for the Energy Delivery Company.  Mary dealt directly with state and local regulators in complex negotiations and processes where frequently there are few or no precedents.  She oversaw energy efficiency and renewable energy education implementation programs.  Mary also directed several noteworthy remediation programs and company activities regarding stewardship, pollution prevention and implementation of renewable commitments.

Mary O'Toole has also been involved in renewable energy and energy efficiency for more than a decade.  Through her chairmanship of the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance energy efficiency has moved forward in Illinois and the Midwest region.

Also, as chair of the Solar Electric Power Association for the last four years, Mary has advanced the industry application of solar energy.  Her experience has played an integral role in SEPA’s partnership with City of Chicago to advance energy efficiency and renewable energy.

Mary has been recognized as an expert on renewable development in Illinois by various state governmental agencies. She is also a board member of Nature Conservancy. In addition, Mary is a founding member of the steering committee in the creation of a corporate board for Chicago Wilderness.

Mary is a Board member of the Girl Scouts of Chicago and the Leadership Greater Chicago Fellows Association.  Mary also serves on the Marquette University Endowment and Alumni Engineering Boards.

Mary holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Loyola University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Marquette University.
