Ms. Wiggins received a BA in Education from the University of North Carolina/Chapel Hill in 1979, and taught in the North Carolina public school system for eight years before joining the Semiconductor Research Corporation in 1988. Pursuing her interest in K-12 education, Ms. Wiggins was instrumental in the development of the VISION Program for middle and high school science and mathematics teachers, implemented through the SRC Education Alliance between 1989 and 1993. Ms. Wiggins has extensive experience in developing and managing programs that bridge between SRC-supported students and SRC member companies including Web distribution of student information and technical conferences. She has managed SRC’s student programs, including the Graduate Fellowship, Master’s Scholarship and Undergraduate Research Assistants Programs, since 1993 when the department was created. She currently has oversight for the SRC, SRCEA, and MARCO student programs which serve over 1,000 students at 104 universities worldwide |
